Cold Spring Farm
East Haddam, Connecticut

Why do we at Cold Spring Farm grow with nature? The easiest reason we can offer is that it just makes sense. Everything we need for life to thrive is here already. It's in the air, and it's in the soil. That's where our health is, too. If we pay attention to Nature, and we work alongside it, we reap the harvest of health. Health is in the air we breath, the soil we stand on and the food we eat. Working with Nature means we are channeling the abundance of natural resources Nature already provides to grow life. It means that everything Nature creates is useful to us. Leaves, rainfall, sunlight, wind, trees, and so on. It means we are using what Nature provides to build our soil health and grow our food. On a microbiological level, we are feeding an active soil teeming with life that provides the nutrients our plants need to produce the 'fruit', which is a byproduct of our true wealth - the soil.
